A break through in laser technology by combining three different laser wavelengths in one applicator, this laser hair removal treatment is capable of treating bespoke needs:

The Alexandrite – This wavelength is used to target an extensive range of hair colours and types, including thin hair and hair that is light in colour, and can even address embedded hair.

The SPEED 810nm – This wavelength is used for darker skin types, and targets the deep hair follicle. It has a moderate tissue penetration depth to treat areas like the arms, legs, cheeks, and chin.

YAG 1064 – The YAG 1064 is the most penetrative wavelength, and is ideal for treating embedded hairs, like those that can occur in the armpits and pubic area, and targets the deepest parts of the follicle for the most effective laser hair removal treatment possible.

FAQs

How does Laser hair removal work?

During laser hair removal treatment, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.

How many sessions do I need?

We recommend 6-12 sessions with a four to six week period in between for maximum results. After completing these sessions, the area treated can be reviewed to assess how many more treatments may be required if needed.

Some people may experience great results after a few sessions, while others may need over ten sessions. Many people will experience up to a 90% permanent hair loss AFTER a complete course of treatments. Although results are mostly permanent, occasional top up sessions may be required once a year or every couple of years depending on the individual.

Results will vary between people and will depend on the type of hair (thick vs fine), consistency of appointments, and hormones which affect growth.

How is the treatment carried out?

The area must be shaved prior to treatment (to be done by client prior to appointment), an ultrasound gel will be put on the area and the laser is passed over a body or face area and a short pulse of light is released, the light picks up the melanin (the pigment in the hair) which targets many follicles simultaneously. The Laser is always in motion which allows the light to pick up and destroy lots of hairs at once quickly and efficiently.

Am I suitable for treatment?

Most people are suitable however the best results are seen with people who have light skin and dark hair. The Laser Room offers laser hair removal treatment with Soprano Titanium which is effective in treating all skin types. Please note that grey or white hair will not be destroyed as it has no melanin, the only way the hair will be picked up by the laser is if there is pigment at the root.

We cannot treat people who are pregnant or under 14 years of age.

How long does a session take?

Treatment time can take anywhere from five minutes for a small area, and up to two hours depending on the areas of the body being treated.
